Stones in his Pockets
Not to start the review with a negative comment but I was told this was funnier than Father Ted. I am not sure whether the promotional material actually said that or it was interpreted that way. End result is it isn't. But then again, but a lot of things are anywhere near as funny as Father Ted.

Stones in his Pockets tells the story of two extras from the local community in Ireland who are acting in a big Hollywood film. Not that its unusually, the entire village seems to have been drafted in for this one movie.

Rather than having a large cast, the 15 characters in the play are filled by just two actors taking on different roles at each time. Although I can't say it was one of the best productions I have seen the acting was flawless. And for that matter, Marie Jones's writing wasn't too bad. Its just I am far more entertained by humourous material than serious matter.

The title 'Stones in his Pockets' comes from inside the story when one of the local people drowns themselves in the river, putting stones in his pockets to weight him down presumably. Not funny but to look on the bright side it was fairly emo, so if your looking for a deep subject wrapped up in a fairly light, great acting preformance, this is for you.
