Recurring Customers
Customers like to see what you are offering again and again before they actually buy anything. Generally a customer will want to see your business at least five times before they are persuaded to hand over cash. Sometimes many more than that. Personally I am always looking round the same websites constantly planning my next hosting upgrade. How can your website take advantage of this? Well, with serveral ways infact.

1. New features on the homepage
Just becuase your website is a business rather than an entertainment portal or something similar doesn't mean you don't have recuring traffic checking for news. I often see the latest offerings on RackShack or MSN Shopping . Posting updates on products especially new and soon to be released ones can keep users checking back constantly awaiting the new release.

2. Add plenty of information
Having pages of documentation and information on your product not only makes your site look more profressional but visitors will spend more time on your site and feel more secure. If you can write ten pages on a product you must know what you are talking about. Use the main product page to draw customers in then present them with information that is not in their face so they feel they have to read it all but so that it can be accessed with a click.

3. Comparisson charts
Each time a potential customer visits your site they may be in a better position than last time. They may have a bit more money to spend. So lining all your versions of a product up may help them to see all the advantages of the next package up and use that extra cash to upgrade. You never know, in five visits they may go up several levels earning you more money.

4. Use eye catching offers
A lot of the time the customer returning to your site will know exactly where they are going. They will go to the homepage, then the product page then the annoucements board on the forum. They have a set routine. So if you want to grab their attention you wil need to use some very eye catching offers.

5. Keep your navigation
Site overhauls can often be the best way to redesign your site so that it looks even better. But as I mentioned in number four, customers returning to your website will often have a set routine. So if you go changing your navigation it will knock users from their patterns. Regular customers like a regular navigations so keep your changes gradual.
