Love Actually
Comedy romances are never really my thing and I usually only watch them when I get dragged in to them or when in the case of TV viewing, my cable box has died. But despite the fact that the film managed to get Rowan Atkinson and then not give him a lead role, the film Love Actually was undoubtedly a good film and verging on something I even may enjoy.
Despite the movies themed I eventually found myself absorbed in the movie once drinking, chocolate and other distractions had dried up. Not to venture as far as to say I would go see it voluntarily or that it actually moved me (only two films ever have) but using the amazing power of empathy those are not me would find it a great film.
The film revolves around several, sometimes intertwining storyline including new Prime Minister Hugh Grant making out at the Christmas Nativity play with Eastenders character Kat Slater.
The characters were on the most part Believable (and most importantly sometimes naked) although at times a little eccentric, particularly Hugh Grants character although the part was pulled off well.
There can probably be no classification of which audience the film will appeal to most however its safe to say anyone who liked other Hugh Grant films such as bout a Boy and Two Weeks Notice will have a good time watching this one.
Was it worth the watch? I am going to say yes – if you are looking for a kind of funny easy to watch movie then check this one. Of course watch it before you have seen Matrix Revolutions and I will hunt you down and tear you limb from limb ;) - Review Machine Movies.
