Example PEST analysis
Editors note: Taken from Chris Worfolk's GCSE marketing coursework.
Political: Labour government – anti corporation / big business. Enlarged EU could result in more competition from cheap 2nd world nation.
Economic: People are becoming more well off and so have more disposable income to spend on luxury products such as brand name soft drinks and other expensive none durable products.
Social: People aiming for healthier lifestyles and drinking more water than soft drinks, especially now there is so much scientific research
Technological: Mass production by computer could allow drinks to be produced that are customised to best capitalise on a certain customer. IE, where kids are going to be sold the drink it could be made more sweet and have a more kids themed product label whereas drinks made for outlets who serve primarily adults could be more addictive and with a more adult themed product label.
