Coyote Ugly
When I first heard about the movie, from the scraps of information I pieced together about it, it seemed to pretty much be a movie aimed at attracting the males to watch girls have fun on a bar. However, it turns out Coyote Ugly has a storyline behind it as well.

Violet Stanford (Piper Perabo, Cheaper by the Dozen) heads off to New York to start her career as a famous songwriter. Of course with everyone who does this, it doesn’t turn out as she hoped and she ends up getting a job at the wild downtown bar, Coyote Ugly.

The main focus of the film is her relationship with Kevin O’Donnell (Adam Garcia, Dream Team) as he tries to help her get over her stage fright in order for her to perform her songs so that somebody can hear them. At the same time Violet tries to repair her relationship with her dad after he sees her working at the bar.

Although the ending is fairly predictable, what film is that not true of? There are sufficient twists and turns in the plot to keep you interested and the film manages to cover of variety of emotions though the different scenes. It’s a much deeper film than it seems on the outset and will be a worthwhile watch for fans of romantic comedies - Review Machine Movies.
