Business Department Functions
The finance department looks after a firms accounts and calculates stats such as revenue, profit, etc. They may also responsible for things such as paying wages, invoices and paying suppliers.

The administration department look after all the paper work that is generated by a company including filing and maintaining the important documents and updating any computerised information a firm may have.

The human resources department look after the firms employees and are in charge of employee moral, hiring and firing people, contacts and any other task which is to do with the employees of the company.

The marketing department’s function is to find customer needs so the company can adapt to meet them and carry out new research to develop new products. They are also responsible for advertising, promoting and branding the company.

The production department’s job is to do the actual job and produce the products for the company or to supply a service. The production department is one of the most important in the firm.
