Avril Lavigne - My World DVD
Sporting a much better looking cover than her previous DVD and featuring both a DVD and audio CD, Avril Lavigne’s My World DVD had plenty of promise. Its main feature is a recording of her concert in Buffalo, NY, part of her Try and Shut me up tour. Amazon or Play will probably be handy if you want to know the exact track list although it features Basketcase, Knockin’ on Heavens Door as well as her classics.

What was more interesting to mean though was “Avril’s Cut” a behind the scenes style documentary on Avril. Far from serious but entertaining none the less it features backstage footage, random camera work of them on tour spliced in with some of the actual performances. There are also some outtakes which while not too long are worth a watch.

The DVD wraps it up with a few information pages, photo gallery and five out Avril’s music videos – Complicated, I’m with you, Knockin’ on Heaven’s door, Losing grip and Sk8er Boi. The audio CD features the (mostly) live Fuel, Basketcase, Unwanted, Sk8er Boi, Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door and Why.

Entertainment value is pretty high, I’ve never really watched many concerts before as, well, it’s just a concert. I still believe this although it kept me entertained. The documentary was cool although defiantly an extra rather than another main feature. So if you’re an Avril fan with a spare £10 it is worth a buy - probably - So Avril.
